Been thinking of replacing my 5 year old monitor and am suddenly pretty interested in 3D. I heard some games are awesome looking in 3D and I really enjoy the movies in theaters, but is it worth it? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

The worth depends on the games. The 120hz monitor is fantastic by itself, but 3D is pretty hit or miss since some games are gorgeous while others look like crap.

I don't recommend 3D due to graphical bugs that you'll have to deal with. The truth is some games just won't display in 3D properly. Dynamic shadows are frequently a problem as well as ambient occlusion, which almost never works. You can often side step these problems by turning off said features.

I have a good 3D monitor that I'd recommend but Dell took it down from their site so I can't show it to you lol.

Playing Arkham City and the Witcher 2 made me feel like a kid again while playing them in 3D! So yea, only worth it if you REALLY like the games that support it properly, which are few and far between.

I remember playing Sonic Colors in 3D at a friends house and thinking it was the most amazing thing ever. Of course I don't have the cash to drop on a 3D monitor and probably will never bother to unless most AAA games support it. Not worth it for a handful of games if you ask me : p

I've checked out both TVs and monitors but I foudn them pretty underwhelming. The flicker is distracting and the novelty of 3D wears disappears pretty fast.
