The Boutique Couture

Boutique Couture, located on Vernal Avenue in Lumiose City, is a clothing retailer that offers the game's coolest yet priciest clothing options. However, the shop is very exclusive. Trying to enter will get you stopped by a shop attendant who says you don't have enough "style." To rack up "style points", perform any of several activities in Lumiose City such as shopping, exploring, battling in restaurants, working at hotels, etc. There is no actual number to check but the more you do in the city, the more you'll earn. Easy nature selection hint

To use this trick, you first must have a full party before starting the battle with the Professor. After defeating him, you can select your starter, and the Professor will say to send a Pokemon to your box to make room for your starter. Tell him "No" (or press B), and he will hold on to your chosen starter until you decide to collect it. He will then continue with the normal conversation. After gaining control of you character, you can save and ask the Professor for your starter. You can then select a Pokemon to send to the box, and he will give you the one you chose. If you do not like the nature of it, soft reset Pokemon X/Y (press L + R + Start + Select). Once done, load your saved game, select your box Pokemon, and scroll through a couple lines of text to be able to check the nature of your new starter. Repeat this trick until you get an Adamant Charmander or the desired nature for your starter Pokemon. Note: You cannot select a different starter after using this trick. The Professor will always be holding onto the Pokemon you previously chose.

Evolving Inkay into Malamar

Out of all the unique evolution styles in Pokemon X and Y, Inkay certainly has the most out-of-the-box method. After level 30 Inkay has can evolve, but in order to successfully complete it you need to turn your 3DS or 2Ds device upside-down when it levels. Yes, simply flip it over and hold it during a level to have it become Malamar. It makes sense since Malamar looks like an upside-down Inkay, though it still takes the cake for being quite a unique evolution.

The Original Legendary Birds

After defeating the Elite Four, one of the three legendary birds from the original Pokemon Red and Blue will start roaming throughout Kalos. Which legendary bird that appears depends on your starter: if you chose Froakie, you'll find Moltres. If you chose Chespin, you'll find Articuno. If you chose Fennekin, you'll find Zapdos. After encountering one of the birds in the wild, check its entry in your Coastal Kalos Pokedex to see the bird's current location. You must walk, not fly, to the location and challenge the bird again. After fleeing several times, the bird will eventually retreat to Sea Spirit's Den, finally offering an opportunity to catch it.

They are divided into four categories: Mega Evolutions you can obtain before completing the main story (Pre-End), those you can obtain afterwards (Post-End), ones only available at night (Only At Night), and ones that have other special requirements (Other):

Note: More Mega Stone locations coming soon!
Pre-End

If you didn't get one from Professor Sycamore, you're able to purchase it from a man for 100,000 in the Stone Emporium in Lumiose City every three days (his stock changes every day) after you finish the game.
Blastoise Professor Sycamore gives you Blastoisite when he gives you the Pokemon. If you didn't get one from Professor Sycamore, you're able to purchase it from a man for 500,000 in the Stone Emporium in Lumiose City every three days (his stock changes every day) after you finish the game.

Abomasnow After saving an Abomasnow in the Frost Cavern you receiven Abomasnowite.
Ampharos Travel beneath the Sea Spirits Den in Azure bay, and a man on an island (next to a fishing trainer) will give you Ampharosite.
Gengar In Lavarre City a black-haired woman at the top left of the city will give you a Gengarite.
Aerodactyl Speak to the scientist on the right side of the Fossil Lab in Ambrett town to get your shiny new Aerodactylite.

Post-End
POKEMON HOW TO OBTAIN
Absol Defeat your rival in Kiloud city and you'll receive an Absolite.
Mewtwo Capture Mewtwo in the cave to the west of the Pokemon Village and you'll get Mewtwoite X or Mewtwoite Y (depending on your version of the game).
Gardevoir Trade a Pokemon (any will do) with Diantha in the cafe to the south in Lumios City where you first met her. She'll give you a Pokemon holding Gardevoirite.

Only At Night

After defeating the Elite Four and completing certain missions, you can find Mega Stones at night between 8PM and 9PM (real time) at certain locations around the world where the ground is sparkling. Interact with these spots to get the Mega Stone:
POKEMON HOW TO OBTAIN
Gyrados In the southeast part of Couriway Town there are a bunch of rivers near a waterfall--here, you can find the Gyradosite.
Medicham In front of the well in Laverre City, Medichamite is sparking on the ground.
Kangaskhan Head to the Glittering Caves by way Ambrett town (after riding the Rhydorn on the path South of the town). Once inside, take the first right--Kangaskhanite is at the end of the path.
Alakazam There's a spot in the Reflecting Cave where there's a glowing landing--you likely thought there'd be a Legendary Pokemon when you came here earlier. Nope! It's a Alakazite.
Banette Head over to the Chamber of Emptiness for your Banetteite--turns out it's not so empty, is it?
Garchomp Near the end of Victory Road there's a small area outside, and there's a stone tower at the top left. Use Rock Smash and walk in front of it for your Garchompite.
Heracross In version Y, go into Santalune Forest from Route 2. Go straight up and Heracrossite is on the left in the tall grass.
Aggron In version Y, go to Cyllage City gym (the rock climbing one) and head to the second level to the right. After climbing, you'll find Aggronite.
Scizor Behind the Abomasnow in the Frost Cavern you'll find Scizorite. It's hard to see--but it's there.
Mawile On the second floor of Shabboneau Castle, (on the left) you can find Mawilite. Yes, it's indoors.
Houndoom In version Y, leave Dendemille town towards Route 15 and go south--you'll find yourself on Route 15. Follow the path until you see two skaters circling a large rock, below that rock will be Houndoominite.

Other
POKEMON HOW TO OBTAIN
Blaziken You can't actually get it in-game as it comes with the Torchic that comes free. On the main menu, select Mystery Gift, Receive Gift, Yes, then Get Via Internet, then Yes again. Then go into the game and talk to the woman to the left of the desk in any Pokemon Center. You'll get a Torchic and Blazikenite for when it's all growed up.

The Lost Hotel and Cosmic Flip

The Lost Hotel is located off of Route 15 just before the exit to Dendemille Town. Enter the ruins and go down the steps to find it. Inside, head south and take the second left, then follow the hallway west and turn north. The man here refuses to let you go any further because you don't have enough "style." Unlike the Boutique Couture, "style" in this case means roller skate tricks. Once you've received the roller skates and unlocked the northern half of Lumiose City, you can learn roller skater tricks in the following locations:

  • Trick #1: Backflip - By a tree just outside of the Hotel Richissime on North Boulevard.
  • Trick #2: Parallel Swizzle - Inside an office building on the western end of South Boulevard.
  • Trick #3: Running Start - By the monument in Vert Plaza.
  • Trick #4: 360 - Inside Cafe Rouleu on Estival Avenue.

With all four tricks learned, return to the man in Lost Hotel and he will let you through to see the Boss. He will teach you the game's fifth and final roller skate trick - the Cosmic Flip.

  • Frequently swap the Pokemon you're working with as the Enjoyment games actually pull in two random Pokemon besides the one you're focusing on for the games, raising their Enjoyment as well.

  • To reach the fifth level of Affection, your Pokemon will actually need to level twice. They'll do the "I just leveled up my Affection!" dance once, but it won't actually raise the level.

Ghost girl easter egg?

There is a certain building in Luminose where you can have a very strange encounter that no one has yet to find an explanation for. Basically you go to the 2nd floor and as soon as you enter the room the screen will flash a few times, and eventually a weird girl will appear directly behind you. She'll then float by without any walking animation and say "No, you're not the one..." before disappearing off screen.

Furthermore, in the 4th floor of the hotel in Lumiose City you can find a woman with the same character model that says something strange as well--"Don't talk to me...if you do, I can't hear the elevator."

Easy Shiny hint

Put any Flame Body/Magma Armor Pokemon (Talonflame has Fly so is recommended) in the first slot, then get plenty of eggs from the Daycare. Depending on how you want to use this trick, you may want to get 20-30 eggs from the daycare and put them in your PC. Fly to the center of Lumiose City (Prism Tower, and get on your bike. Once done, gently slip a dime underneath the control stick so it is pushed in one direction. Your character should automatically ride in a circle around the tower. Then, leave the game for a bit and do something else while you wait for a Shiny Pokemon to hatch. Repeat this trick until you get a Shiny Pokemon. Note: You will have to press A to hatch each egg.

Battle Maison

The Battle Maison in Kiloude City is Kalos's battle facility where players can take part in Single Battles, Double Battles, Triple Battles, Rotation Battles, and Multi Battles. Defeating enough opponents through each will result in a battle against one of the Maison's Battle Chatelaines. Unlike normal Trainers who use a set of Pokémon randomly drawn from their roster, Battle Chatelaines have a predetermined team for every battle, although the team order does vary.

Catching Pikachu

Pikachu are found very early in Route 3, in small grass patches just after the forest. Pikachu is a great early Pokemon as it has high special attack and speed stats that give him an advantage early in the game. Their special characteristic, Static, is effective early in the game by paralyzing Pokemon that come in contact with him. Pikachu also levels up fast early in the game thanks to plenty of bird type Pokemon in the grinding areas.

Easy money hint

First, obtain the Amulet Coin found on the second floor of Parfum Palace, in front of a fireplace. It doubles the Pokedollars you earn from battles. Note: If you lost your Amulet Coin, you can also use a Luck Incense, which can be bought at one of the Pokemon Centers. Then, start battling every trainer at the Battle Chateau. The goal is to rank up as quickly as possible -- so battle everyone (this is tough without strong Pokemon). Once done, buy the best writs possible. You can only have one of each type of writ active at a time -- so make sure you have the best ones active. You must also purchase writs every day. When you start, it will probably be very expensive (writs are 50,000 or 100,000 Pokedollars each), but they are worth it. This trick allows you to earn millions of Pokedollars every day.

Sylveon, Glaceon, and Leafeon **Updated 10 months ago**

To obtain the newest of the Eevee evolutions, first make your Eevee very happy via the Pokemon-Amie system. All three sections in Amie (Affection, Fullness, and Enjoyment) must be maxed, so be ready to play a ton of minigames to have enough snacks. Once done, simply teach your Eevee a fairy move and level up to have it evolve into Sylveon!

As for evolving a Glaceon or Leafeon, you must be standing next to Ice Rock or Moss Rock when leveling it up. Ice Rock is found in the deepest part of the Frost Cavern (the cave is not too large) while Moss Rock is found closer to the end the quest to defeat the Elite Four. It is on Route 20, between Snowbelle City and the Pokemon Village. Enter the area from Snowbelle to immediately see it.
