Go to the gate keepers and ask Booker to change the flag. Choose the design that is on your floor tiles. Afterwards, change the flag again to another design. However, do not swap it but change it instead. When you go out you will notice that your tiles have changed.
Dig up fossils around your town (stars on the ground) and have Blathers check them. Be sure not to donate it, even when he asks if he can keep it. Afterwards, sell them to Nook. Most fossils are worth up to 2,000 Bells.
Dig up a load of fossils before a Flea Market day. and keep them. Then, take all the furniture out of your house and fill it with the fossils. Do this on the day before or else the animals pop in after you close an inventory screen, try to buy things, and they do not come back. Sometimes you can sell them in the region of 10,000 Bells per fossil.
There is a wolf named Wolfgang that sometimes appears during the flea market day. If you set up a Full Body Dinosaur Set, you can set the price up to 200,000 Bells. Also, if it is early (between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.), he will be so tired that he might pay up to 450,000 Bells.
On a random day, after connecting to Wi-Fi, you might receive a letter in the mail that is totally blank. The letter also contains a glitched Red Tulips furniture item. Do not place it in your home or else the tulips will disappear and the location where you placed them cannot be used ever again. When you get these tulips, delete the message or plant them outside and pick them up again so they become normal red tulips. If you place them inside your house, it is recommended that you restart your town.
Plant your coconut trees along the shore of the ocean, making sure the trees are planted just along the line of the shore and the main land. If the trees are planted completely on the tanned part of the shore, or completely on the main land, they will wither away. You will not have to ever water the trees.
Keep hitting rocks you come across with your axe or shovel until you find a special one that gives a bag of Bells. Keep hitting the rock until the bags stop appearing. Note: This happens no more than once per day.
Take out your shovel and hit rocks with it until you find one that spits out Bells. Some of these can go up to 20,000 Bells. If you want to get as many Bells as possible, dig three holes away from the rock before hitting it. This will keep you in front of the rock because of the holes and thus you can hit it more times. Note: Do not put holes everywhere or the money bags will not appear.
If you already have one character, create another one and talk to Tom Nook. He will talk to you and offer you a part time job. Finish all of the tasks he gives you and he will give you 12,000 Bells. Drop the 12,000 Bells on the ground in front of your house, then get your other person and collect the Bells from the front of your house. Afterward, kick the extra person out of town.
First, have a friend visit your town and buy something from Nook's store. You will then get a notification that he is upgrading and you will get Nookington's. In Nookington's, there will be a hairdresser that charges 3,000 bells to get a haircut and asks you three questions to get your true hair style. She will ask you three questions that each have two answers for you to choose. Choosing either A (the top answer) or B (the bottom answer) will determine which haircut you receive. Below is a list of all the hairstyles, colors, and how to get each style:
MALE HAIRCUTS ANSWERS
Long and Wavy
FEMALE HAIRCUTS ANSWERS
Short + Bangs
The hairdresser will then ask you what color you are feeling. Your response (warm or cold) will determine which hair color you get:
To play songs, talk to Pelly (right booth) in Town Hall and select Town Tunes. Play the listed songs by inputting the corresponding notes. Note: lower case letters indicate low notes, upper case letters are higher octave notes.

Zelda's Lullaby from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
To make someone in your town mad at you, walk into them for a while and push them around. If done correctly, they will become mad and steam will shoot out of the top of their head, but won't remain mad for too long.
To make a neighbor mad, hit them repeatedly with a net. This will take some time, but if done correctly, steam will eventually shoot out of their head and they will yell at you.
When an animal has just moved in, keep talking to them. They will eventually say things like "Can you wait? I'm still unpacking!"
Keep talking to an animal that really wants to move and they'll eventually say something like "No! I've already made my mind."
Push animals around a lot, especially into ponds, rivers, or the ocean.
When animals ask you to deliver an item, they will say, "Better not open it!". Open it to make them mad at you.
First, be sure you must have Nookington’s unlocked. Make a new resident, but be sure this resident is not your first. Name him Mario and try to get brown or black hair. If his hair is not brown or black, change it at the barber shop with 3,000 Bells. When the hair stylist is asking questions, hit the buttons in this order: first window: A, second window: B, third window: B. When she asks warm or cold, select "Cold", then "Mysterious!". Next, go to the Able Sisters with 1,500 Bells. This step will take a while. Find the following items or ask a friend for them: Big Bro's Hat and Big Bro Mustache. Next, make a design with dark blue overalls and yellow buttons. Also make a red shirt in the background. Put it all on and you will look like Mario.
Catch and donate a cockroach to the museum, then go to the Bug Room. It will be running around on the floor. If stepped on, the following message will appear: “Dear Patrons, please do not step on this specimen as it was donated by . Thank you.” Note: The message varies for every town.
Go to the beach and look for shells every day. Do not bother picking up the Sand Dollars, Dall Tops, Venus Combs, or any other shells worth less then 500 Bells. Keep an eye out for shells called "White Scallop" and "Pearl Oyster". They are the rarest.
To restock an already purchased item from Tom Nook or the Able sisters, first purchase the item. Then, change the system date forward or backward, and then back to the original day when you purchased the item.
Speak with Tortimer during the Flower Fest for free flowers.
To get free flowers and win the Flower Fest, take the flowers from your neighbor's houses. To get more, go to your neighbors' houses every day. Do this every day and you’ll win the Flower Fest.
After picking a flower, go to your pockets and drag the flower to your player. If your player is a girl, she will put it in her hair. If you pick a Dandelion, drag it to your player so they hold it in their hand. Then press A and your player will blow the Dandelion. This only works with the Dandelion puffs. If you drag a Rose to your player, they will hold it in their mouth. You can put Clovers into your girl player's hair.
Find a pattern that you like on a shirt and drag that shirt over the invisible space on the lower left corner of the touch screen to drop it there. You can also go to the patterns section of your inventory, choose a desired pattern, and drag it to a similar invisible space in the lower-left corner of the touch screen.
When creating a new resident, you can get an appearance you like the best. The choices you pick for Kapp'n‘s questions determines your appearance, though you cannot figure out what you will exactly look like. When you get out of the cab and do not like your appearance, turn off the game and try again. Try to use different answer combinations until you find an appearance you like.
The best way to get started in the game is by purchasing a fishing rod or bug net. Set out to catch fish, only keeping the ones at least worth 1,000 bells. When catching bugs, listen to their sounds or watch for their colors.
Shake trees until a hive of bees appear and start catching them with your net. Each bee will fetch you 4,500 Bells.
Buy a fishing rod and fish in the ocean during night time when it snows or rains. You’ll eventually see a giant fish shadow, which is a living fossil fish, worth 15,000 Bells.
First, make sure it is August or July in your town, then catch as many rare fish and bugs as you can. Remove all the furniture out of your main room and put all the bugs and fish in there, filling your room up as much as possible. Now change the date to the first Saturday in August or July. Make sure it is 12 a.m. or later as you wait in your room. An animal will eventually come in to buy your stuff. Speak to it and wait until it stops in front of a fish or bug. They will only buy three things, but you can go into another room then come back out. Repeat until all the bugs and fish are gone and you should have about 200,000 bells. Repeat this to become rich. Note: Plant palm trees by the beach to get more rare bugs. Also, the best time to find a shark is during firework shows.
Put three Barred Knifejaws, five Sea Horses, ten Horse Mackrels, three Bitterlings, and a few Sea Butterflies in your house the day before the Flea Market. Be sure to remove all your furniture to make plenty of room. Charge the animals double for each fish to make over 35,000 Bells for some fish. Also, when they stop looking at items, go upstairs and downstairs again to make them look at something else.
When the Fishing Tourney arrives, turn in the biggest fish possible for a good win. When you win, put the trophy in your dresser and sell the clothes and paper if want to. Set the date back and win again repeatedly until you have six trophies. Sell five of them and keep one to make lots of Bells.
Sometimes when you catch a rare fish, throw it back into the sea or river. It will become more common every time this is done.
Different bugs and fish appear in different seasons. Sharks and scorpions, for example, are summer creatures.
Put any amount of money into your savings account and once there are about 50,000 bells in your account, save the game and turn off the Nintendo DS. Go to the DS’ system settings and change the date to the year 2099. When you resume the game as the same character, you’ll receive a letter from the Post Office stating that you have around 99,999 bells. This money is already in your savings account. Note: You will get many weeds from doing this.
If you have more than 700,000 bells, you can probably get 99,999 bells in just about a year by changing the Nintendo DS system date to the year following. You will eventually receive a letter in the mail saying that you have a certain number of bells. If you are rich then this will usually yield 99,999 bells.
While your player is sleeping, select the phone and choose "Set Date And Time" and change the date to January 1st. You can repeat this any number of times by setting the date to a year later, though you will have a lot of weeds.
Drop a bunch of items on the ground in front of your house where Resetti usually appears. You can now turn the game off without saving since Resetti will not appear because of the items blocking his location.
Pete the delivery pelican flies over your town almost every day at 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Hit him with a slingshot and he will scream and fall to the ground with a loud boom. Talk to him and he will tell you about himself.
Use the following trick to make Pete the delivery pelican appear quicker. Wait until 8:59 a.m. or 4:59 p.m. on the phone in your room. Then, wait for him and shoot him down. Save the game and repeat.
Dig a hole and dig in the same location for ten days. On the eleventh day, walk over the same spot where you have been digging and you should fall in. You cannot get out. Note: This has the same affect as the Pitfall.
To prevent yourself from getting stung by bees, run as far away from the bees as possible and press Start. When prompted to save, select "Yes" and you will end up with no bee stings. This may take more time but it's a good method in case there's no house around or no umbrella to twirl.
Use the following trick to make a lot of acorns. First, make sure it is October 7th. Gather fifteen acorns (plus ten in the mail sockets) and bury them next to the far left edge of the map. Continue until there are only rotten acorns remaining. Gather rotten acorns and bury them apart from the nice acorns. Now advance the time to the12th or 13th of October and do the same thing. Sometimes you can get around forty or more each time Going back to the October 7th will probably net you about twenty or thirty. Bury the rotten acorns and advance to October 13th again. Repeat until you get enough acorns. Note: 240 acorns are required to get everything from Cornimer.
When Dr. Shrunk goes to your town for the first time, he will ask you how your emotions are going. Say "I'm in a slump" and he'll give you a list of emotions to learn. Choose one of them to learn how to express that emotion. After that, express your new emotion with a friend. I will be the little bunny pictures right under the speech bubble.
At 12:30 on any day, walk along the beach shore looking for fruit. Any fruit you find along the shore can be sold for 500 Bells.
To get more money for fruit, go to your friend's town where, instead of only 100 Bells, you will get 500 Bells per fruit.
Go to an online friend's town, pick their fruit, and plant it in your town. You can make more money from outside fruit.
When Joan the turnip peddler comes to your town on Sunday mornings, ask her if she has Red Turnips. If she sells them to you, plant them right away. Water them every day for a week, then dig them up on Saturday. Red Turnips sell at Nook's shop for 16,000 Bells.
Eventually you will get a coconut, either by finding one or your mom might mail you one. Plant them after five to seven days, they will become trees. Sell the coconut at Tom Nook’s for 500 Bells.
After you plant flowers for Tom Nook, talk to him for your next task. After that, go out and pick up the flowers you planted to sell them back.
Get a Golden Shovel and bury some money in the ground. Water the plant and eventually a money tree grow in the week, month, or year.
Go the The Roost cafe (basement of your museum) on Saturday nights between 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight and talk to K.K. Slider. when he asks you if you are there for a song, say "No thanks" and sit down until the song is finished. He will then give it to you for your radio and ask if you have a request. Below are all the songs you can request, which are case sensitive.

Notes: The "K.K. Song" is actually music from Mario Paint. The "Forest Life" song is the theme from the original Animal Crossing on the Gamecube.
To enter Tom Nook's home, go to the back of Tom Nook's shop between 12:00 and 2:00 P.M. Using a shovel, hit the back wall three times. Then, hit the front entrance once to be able to enter Tom Nook's home. You will see him wearing pajamas with a teddy bear.
During bright lights, all pine trees in your town are decorated with lights. If you shake one of them, the lights will stay in the same position but the tree sways back and forth, making it look like the lights are flying.
Use this trick if you have a friend that also owns the game and he or she has an item that you like. First, go to your friend's town or invite them over to yours and ask them to drop the desired item. Take it and, because you are holding it, the item should now be in the catalog at Tom Nook's store. You have to buy it, but now you and your friend will have the item. Return the item to your friend. Note: This doesn't work with Gyroids or fossils.
To easily get money, go the bank and save all the money you have into your account. Then, save the game and turn off the DS. Change the system date to ten or more years later and your money should go up to 99,999 Bells.
When the flea market comes around, walk by or talk to everyone outside. Then, go inside your house and pick some furniture that you do not want. When someone comes to your house, greet them and they will start walking around. When they stop to look at an item, speak to them and say you’ll sell it for a low amount of bells. Afterward, walk out of your house and go back inside to find another person in your house saying "Low prices? I'm in." Do the same to everyone and you’ll eventually have enough money to go to other houses and get whatever you want.
-Place all your items into a dresser and sell all your junk furniture items on a flea market day by changing the date. Check the town news board to find out when your flea market days are. The trick is to make sure you only sell to your residents well into the night since your loopy and drowsy neighbors will not think straight and buy furniture for a price 150% more and 200% more, especially if they are in love with an item. On average, by selling a room-full of junk furniture you can make around 18,000 bells in a night.
Buy or trade for a dresser and place it in your room. Walk up to it and press A. A screen will appear with six inventory sized pull-overs. Drag items in here to put them into your dresser, which you can take whenever you want.
To enter Crazy Redd's tent, use the following passwords:
Ask and you shall - Be charged An open wallet - Is often empty Bottom dollar - Top dog Crazy Redd - Is 35 Even robbers - Have safes Fan in one hand - Cash in other Foot in the door - Eye on prize For my fans - Shop here again Get an education - Or win it big Give 2 cents - Ask for change Head in the sand - Find something Hot and cold - Money makes it I'm all alone - But I have cash Life expectancy - Redd is 35 Look at people - Wallets full Look back - What did you miss No money - Means no fun Roses have - High prices Rough childhood - Lax adulthood Spoiled rotten - Bean curd Talk is cheap - So is Redd The grass is greener - On my side The pen - Is cheaper Tom Nook - One ugly fellow What smells? - Bean curd. To have a different town theme, go to the Able Sisters shop and talk to Mable to ask her to design your own pattern. That pattern is what your ground will look like so plan it carefully. Pay 350 Bells and go outside. Go to the menu screen and select the pattern area, then drag your pattern to the last icon. That pattern will appear on the ground. Continue to do this until your entire town is covered with your pattern.
To gain Feung Shei, or luck, place certain colored items in certain areas of your house.

Buy the Royal Crown at the Able Sisters, then save and end the game. Turn off the DS and change the time to 12:00 a.m. Turn the game on, then save and turn it off again. Change the time to 12 p.m. and play again. There should be another Royal Crown at the Able Sisters that you can buy. Note: You need around1,200,000 bells for each crown.
-After first settling in your town, advance time by one day, then backwards, then forward. Repeat this and more neighbors will have moved in your town quickly.
-When you visit other towns, you might meet a new friend. If you really hit it off with one of the locals, he might decide to move to your town. If he likes his new home, your town might soon be flooded with even more neighbors. Note: This often works with Opal the elephant and Camofrog the frog.
Below are dates Nintendo released downloadable content followed by the item available on that date. Note: An account with Nintendo.com and Nintendo WiFi ID are required. For instructions, go to nintendowifi.com.
Mushroom Mural and Block Floor (1 Year Anniversary)
If you use Action Replay codes too much, Nintendo will send you an unmarked package. This is extremely annoying because Tom Nook will not trade with you until you deliver it. However, it’s impossible to deliver and thus you must either start your town over or use Action Replay to sell your hacked Royal Crowns to the Able Sisters or on Wi-Fi.
This glitch lets you learn if the fish that you are catching is a Sea Bass. Go to the sea with your fishing pole equipped and cast your rod once you find a fish. Once the fish takes the bait, try to reel it in. Normally, when pressing the button repeatedly reeling the fish in, you will hear splashing noises as the fish is struggling. However, if it is a Sea Bass, the splashing sound effect won‘t play. If you don’t hear any splashing noise, let the fish go if you do not want to catch a Sea Bass. Note: This only occurs about 60% of the time, only with the Sea Bass.
Equip your slingshot and go to the Town Hall. Go to the door but stay a distance away, then shoot when you are just under the edge of the part that sticks out. It should go through a solid part of the Town Hall. You can also move closer to shoot through it better.
-First, get the King Tut Head at the Able Sisters or from a friend. This item makes you trip every so often when worn. Then, buy accident insurance from Lyle the Weasel on Saturdays for 3,000 Bells. Every time you trip or get stung by a bee you will get 100 bells in the mail from Lyle. Put on the King Tut Head and fall ten times to get a maximum of 1,000 Bells from Lyle in the mail (if you don’t get any other mail). This method is a slow way to get money but can get you some steady cash.
Look in the sky during a perfectly clear night and tap when a shooting star appears to get a special gift the next day.
When animals are saying” I love you, I love you not", always choose "No", "I love you" and "I love you" to get a free item.
Every day, one tree in town will have a random item. Note: If a neighbor is looking at a tree, there's an item in it.
To get free items from other animals, equip your own fishing rod or net and keep talking to them if they are also holding a net or a fishing rod. They will say that it's a beautiful day for fishing or bug catching. Keep talking to them until they say "Why don't we have a competition?". Accept the competition and catch whatever they ask you to catch. When you have caught it, bring it back to the animal and talk to them to get a prize in return. Note: This works more than one time on the same animal.
Send your neighbors letters and attach items you do not want. They will usually send you furniture, clothes, and rare fruits the next day.
To be offered a haircut style in the opposite gender of your character, get all six types of haircuts from Harriet on consecutive days. The following day, get another haircut from her and she will offer you the new haircut.
When you start the game, go to the screen where you select your player and go to the phone to select "Reset Time". Set it to a time when K.K. Slider comes to the museum (between 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) and start the game. After you get your song, go back, save, then go back to the player selection screen. Reset the clock again to the original time and once you start your game again, save and repeat those steps. Note: This takes some time.
To earn money you can fish, catch bugs, and look for treasures. When fishing, only keep fish that are worth at least 1,000 Bells. When catching bugs, catch them by listening to their sounds or watch for their colors.
When animals ask you to deliver something, select it from your pocket if it is a letter or a package. An "Open It?" option will appear, which lets you open the item. Note : If you open a package and talk to the animal that you are delivering it for, they will become very angry.
Fill your pockets so there's no room for anything else, preferably with any items you can consume, equip, or toss. Ask K.K. Slider to play a song and if you do not like it, K.K. will not give you a bootleg and you can listen to another song. If you still don't like it, toss, eat, equip, etc. an item to make room and then request the song that you wanted.
After shooting down a UFO, successfully help Gulliver and talk to him and he might say something like "I am not sure if our kind has made contact before. Tell me, do you know a certain bounty hunter who rolls into a ball? And a small fox? He flies a fighter. Perhaps you have seen it?" These are references to Samus Aran from the Metroid series and Fox McCloud of the Star Fox series.
Your mom will send you a present at the beginning of fall. It can be an acorn, a cherry, or other things to help you in your game.
To get free presents every ten minutes, go to the very top of your town while the time ends in a “4”, such as 2:44. Walk along the top of your town to find a present on a balloon. Get your slingshot and shoot the balloon the present is hanging on to pop it. Collect the present.
When the Animals are singing from happiness, talk to them a few times. They might give you items, a mat, wallpaper, or clothing.
Be careful when shooting down the balloon gifts near a river or on a bridge. The gift may fall into the river and sink and your character will be surprised.
Lyle will be outside your door every Saturday, offering insurance until you finally buy it. Once you buy it, the next day he will have sent you 100 Bells for each time you tripped, fell in a hole, or got stung by a bee.
On Saturdays, you'll notice someone walking around your house in a suit. This is Lyle. He'll offer you "Accident Insurance" for 3,000 Bells. While the way he talks and the yellow star in his eye make it seem like a scam, it really is not. Buy the insurance and if you ever fall over, get stung by bees, or fall in a pitfall trap, he will send you 100 Bells for each event. Note: Definitely take advantage of this. The next Saturday, he will offer you fraud insurance for 6,000 Bells. If you buy it and ever receive an item that is fraudulent, you will get back the amount of bells you paid for the item(s). Both are definitely useful.
Buy the insurance from Lyle. Animals sometimes say "I hear there is an insurance scam going on! Be careful!", but he is actually trustworthy and you should buy his insurance. First, bring about 7,000 Bells to Redd's and become a member. Redd appear at random. When taking Lyle's quiz, he will ask you what day you want Redd to appear and, even though Lyle claims he has no association with Redd, Redd will appear. Next, shake trees repeatedly until a bee appears and stings you. Do not put medicine on it. Lyle will send you a letter with 100 Bells attached. Also, spend a few thousand Bells on the Tut helmet and run all the way down to the beach. You will fall and Lyle will send you another letter with 100 Bells. Note: Lyle does not send letters when you fall in a pitfall.
If you are mean to Kapp'n, you will end up ugly or might have a scowl, whereas if you are very nice and give straight answers about your gender, you will look very nice and smile. You can always change your hair at Harriet's, but your face stays the same. The nice answers are the ones at the top of the list, but they are mixed when it comes to gender.
Flea Market: During a flea market, animals will enter your house and buy things. Remove all of your furniture and replace it with items you don‘t want, especially duplicate items. Place your normal furniture on the top floor since they only look in the main room. You can also get some of your items back, though it isn’t guaranteed that you will get all of it. Look in the dumpster at the Town Hall for items such as hats, flowers, and other things animals think are bad.
Bug-Off: A contest to see who is the best bug catcher in town. First, get a small bug that’s slightly larger than the bug in the lead. You will see approximate sizes when you look at the bugs you caught in your lifetime. Tap the butterfly icon when you open the menu and get something slightly bigger. Do this repeatedly, then end with an Emperor Butterfly that’s around 115 mm long. Tortimer will give you items each time you break the old record. If you win, the next day you’ll get a trophy.
Fishing Tourney: A contest to see who can catch the biggest fish. Fish like tuna, ocean sunfish, and gars are useful. Don’t keep seahorses, crucian carp, bluegill, clownfish, and jellyfish. A good idea is to catch fish and save them for the tourney.
Yay Day: You can write anything, even "You're ugly" or "Go away!" as a compliment. They would be flattered anyways, because animals don’t seem to understand English. Afterward, on Yay Day, they will say funny things like "You really think of 'you're ugly' when you see me? Gosh. I'm flattered!"
Flower Contest: Who can plant the biggest and best garden. An easy way to win is by stealing your neighbor's plants. Hold thirteen flowers, along with a net and a watering can. Plant them around your house while making sure there is a way to get into your house without stepping on your flowers. Win to receive a trophy.
New Year's Day: Play at 11:59 p.m. and stay at the Town Hall plaza for a countdown and fireworks. Collect your mail and go to the post office to save letters after 9:00 a.m. You will then get a present from your mother with 10,000 Bells.
Birthday: People will give you gifts on your birthday. A special person will give you a birthday cake, while your Mother tries to celebrate by sending you a letter. Before your birthday, empty out all your letters so you have enough room for new letters.
Once you get the Nookington's version of your local store, there will be an upper level where Tommy and Timmy will be. Go to a wall with wallpapers and floorings and at the end of the counter there will be a paint bucket. Tommy or Timmy will tell you that they will be able to paint it soon if you decide to buy the color. Each day, there is a new color of paint.
Write ten letters and attach 99,000 Bells to each of them. Fill your inventory with bags of 99,000 Bells and fill your wallet that is shown to the left of your character. You will now have 2,574,999 Bells.
To have a nature look, go to Harriet's and answer some questions. When she asks about colors, tell her you want cool colors and say that you want your color to be "lush". After a few seconds, your hair will turn green so you look like leaves and plants. If your person is a girl, look for clothes with flowers on it and put them on. If you are a boy, design a shirt with a tree or plant on it. Then, donate to 10,000 bells to Boondox to get the Green Feather the next day. Wear it as a hat.
To finish the museum collection, go fishing for the following fish first: Sea Bass, Bluegill, Crawfish, Frog, Crucian Carp, Catfish and other fish sold below 1,000 Bells. Give them to the museum. Now look for more expensive fish and donate them. Note: Donated fish will also become more common, so look into donating Snappers.
To finish the bug collection, first donate all four Cicadas, a Mosquito, a Fly, and a Honeybee. Also donate any common butterflies. Next, find the Stag Beetles (found at night) and the Oak Silk Moth. Oak Silk Moths are brown and hang on trees. Next, start digging up fossils. If it’s not a torso, skull, or tail, donate it. After you donate some small fossils like ammonites and dinosaur tracks, look for skulls. Donate Sabertooth and Mammoth skulls first since they are very easy to complete.
Also, save up about 5,000 Bells for when Redd appears. If you get Lyle and say which day you want Redd to appear, Redd will appear on that day. Buy a painting from him. If it is fake, dump it and fish for Snakeheads and Bass. If it is real, donate it. To also make the museum successful, go to the coffee shop once every day and after your cup, go back in the chair and say to Brewster, "I love this place!" if the option is available.
In your town, when two animals are staring at each other, they are really talking to each other. Press A or tapping them with the stylus to listen to their conversation. Sometimes you will get involved in the conversation, such as if an animal asks you your opinion on a question asked by another one. If the animals don‘t like each other, they’ll get mad when they are done talking.
To be awarded two Snowman furniture instead of one, find the two snowballs in your town. Roll them to a medium size and then stack them by walking one into the other at the bottom left of your town. You must make the snowman in the farthest lower right square and make him perfect to get two Snowman furniture.
On clear nights, you might see a shooting star fly across the top screen. You can look for him visually on the top screen or listen to the glittery sound effect. Press A while during this to get a present in the mail from Wishy the Star. Be sure your hands are empty. Note: Wishy appears on clear nights from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
When connecting via Wi-Fi mode or DS to DS, trade objects since outside things sell more in your town. For example, a television with VCR can sell for 3,000 Bells at Nook's, but they can sell yours for 8,000 Bells.
-To keep turnips longer then a week, set them on top of a table in your house. They will remain fresh until you find a good price to sell them. Be sure to surround the part of the table with items before you drop the turnips so that it doesn't go on the floor. Put 100 turnips on each spot so that you can get more on the table.
Find a Pinball Machine. Zoom in and place it so that it’s facing away from you while you are facing down. Look carefully at the designs to see Mario on the bottom part and the Mushroom Kingdom on the top part.
In the clothes shop, sometimes they will sell a Luigi hat, called "Lil Bro's Hat". There is also a hat with an “M” on it called the “Big Bro’s Hat”. Also, sometimes you will find the "Big Bro's Mustache" and the "Big Bro's Shirt", which all are things Mario wears.
In Pierce's (the blue eagle) room, open the refrigerator and a message “What are Luigi's clothes doing in here?" will appear.
On Sunday mornings, Joan the turnip seller will come to your town. Buy as many White Turnips as possible. If the turnips stay in your inventory until the following Sunday, they will rot and cannot be sold to Tom Nook. However, if you want your turnips to live forever, first into your house and go next to a table that can have items placed on it. Drop a tool item (fishing rod, shovel, axe, etc.) under you, then go into your inventory and drop the desired amount of turnips. If done correctly, the turnips should land on the table and stay there. Since they are not in your pockets, they will not rot and die. When Tom Nook has good prices for the Stalk Market, grab the turnips from the table and sell them.
Speak with any sea animal, such as Marina (the squid that calls you blurp),. Occasionally they will say something like "Today is Thursday, the best day to collect shells!". This means that Pascal will probably appear on Thursday (that day). Note: sea animals are the animals that are on the beach frequently.
To get rid of a post off the bulletin board, change the DS system year to 2099 then back to the current year. Go to the bulletin board and the message will be gone. However, lots of weeds will appear in your town.
Ask Phyllis about the environment and she'll tell you exactly what you need. For instance, Pelly will tell you "Add some green" when you need trees, but Phyllis will specifically say what you need. You can see Phyllis from about 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Note: Use Phyllis when you try to get special Jacob's Ladder flowers and the Golden Watering can.
Talk to animals when they are in their house and their stuff is in boxes. Keep chatting until they start saying things like, "I'll have to think this over..." or "Maybe I should stay..." This works especially well with Mabel (the bear) or Ribbot (the robotic frog).
When a neighbor is moving (there are boxes in his house), talk to them a lot and choose "Don't go" or "That can't be" until he starts saying "Maybe I'll reconsider" or something similar.
If you see a tarantula or scorpion, you will hear a shuffling sound. If it bites you, the screen will go black and you will appear in front of your house. If you donate it to the museum, the bug's head will follow while trying to bite you, just like the piranha that tries to get you in the Fish exhibit.

Example: Deena the Duck.
Divas: These girls are very stuck up and snooty. They get mad very easily, and when they do, they tend to say negative things. Most of them are obsessed with the "Ms. Nintendique" gossip magazines. It is very difficult to get their photo.

When it's time for the Flower Fest, take the collection and make your entire garden out of them. With this garden, you will win the contest and receive the Flower Trophy.
To win the Flower Trophy , take all of the flowers form your neighbor's gardens during the Flower Festival and plant them around your own house.
