This apple adds 150 points to your base score. (Why am I specifying the "base" score? See the Scoring section for more details!)
Bomb Capacity Down
This bomb icon with a down arrow superimposed on it decreases the maximum number of bombs you can set by 1. Your bomb count can't be decreased to less than 1.
Represented by Bomberman's foot kicking a bomb, this item enables the Bomb Kick technique to be used. Walk into a bomb to send it sliding along until it hits a hard block, soft block, enemy, wall, or another bomb. A kicked bomb will also erase all items in its path. There doesn't seem to beany way to manually stop a kicked bomb in this game (darn it!)
This happy flame icon increases the range of your bomb blasts by 1 tile. Your firepower can go up to a maximum of 8.
This sad blue flame icon decreases the range of your bomb blasts by 1 tile. Your firepower can't be decreased to less than 1.
This ice cream adds 300 points to your base score.
This smiling heart increases the number of hits that Bomberman cantake by 1. A collision with an enemy or being caught in a bomb blast reduces Bomberman's heart count (e.g. his life) by 1. If he is struck by an enemy orbomb blast with only 1 heart left, he dies and gets tossed off the tower, leading to an immediate D rank. I'll elaborate more on failure and its consequences when I start talking about Dojo mode. For now, all you need to know is that Hearts are basically insurance against making mistakes.
Represented by a detonator device (no, it's not a heart with a bomb in it anymore), this deactivates the timer that normally controls your bomb detonations. Instead, you can tap the Remote Control icon in the lower-center area of the screen to set off your bombs one by one.
This rollerskate with a down arrow superimposed on it decreases Bomberman's movement speed by 1. Your speed can't be decreased to less than 1.
This rollerskate increases Bomberman's movement speed by 1 increment (no, I don't know what unit to use here.) Your speed can go up to a maximum of 8.
