Note: This procedure requires editing a game file; creating a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Using a text editor, edit the .UDT file in the "savegame" directory in the game folder. This file has the statistics of the units present. There are five two-digit numbers in the rows that contain the statistics for organization, health, morale, quality, and experience. There are also two digits indicating the number of men in the unit. The first number is the initial amount of men. The second number is the current number of men. At the start of a battle these are easy to find because the two numbers are the same. You can then edit each of the numbers as desired. The two-digit numbers should not be exceed 99. The number of men can be edited up to 9999. Make sure the second number is not higher than the first or it will force an error.

Easy wins

-The CPU will change its tactics from game to game. You can trick it by sending a weaker unit to probe a far-off part of the enemy line. usually the CPU will react to the perceived threat and move unneeded units toward that part of the map.

-One of the victory conditions is control of certain hexes. Take advantage of this by sending lone cavalry units to occupy those victory hexes for a turn.
