During one of the dialogues between Fenris and Varric, Fenris asks Varric "Who is Bianca?" When Varric tells him it is a crossbow, Fenris says that he must have named it after someone. Varric replies, "Nope, Mirabelle was taken", referencing the rifle owned by Sir Roderick Von Fontlebottom The Magnificent Bastard from Jade Empire.
-Note: The following may only work in the unpatched version of the game. Complete any side quest that does not activate a cutscene while receiving your reward, then save the game. Draw your weapon, then approach the NPC. While your character is putting away their weapon to talk to the NPC, rapidly press A to get unlimited money and EXP. You can keep doing this until you move your character. Repeat as desired.
-Note: The following may only work in the unpatched version of the game. While in Kirkwall, there is a quest in the chantry called "Sister Plinth's Remains." While returning her remains to her brother, do not move as this prevents the exploit from working. Simply keep pressing the button to turn over the remains and the brother will keep giving you the reward. Note: You find the remains in Darktown in the top right corner of the map. They are surrounded by several soldiers.
You should have a damager, tank, entropist and healer. This will ensure you have one member taking all the damage and bringing the attention away from the rest of the party. Have an entropist (Merrill is recommended) to weaken and demoralize the enemy, a healer to strengthen and maintain the party, and a damager to inflict the pain. This will ensure a well rounded party that covers all aspects of combat.
Play through the game with a relationship with Anders. At the end of the game, choose to kill him for destroying the Chantry. In the end scene where Varric says that everyone had to leave the hero, he will say, "Everyone, of course, except Anders", even though he is already dead.
During the "Prime Suspect" mission when you meet Mr. Dupries, have Varric in your party. Give the sarcastic response of letting Dupries talk his way out the situation. Varric will make the comment "I bet 20 silver it's 'it wasn't me, it was the one-armed man'", referencing The Mask when Jim Carey tries to defend his innocence when he gets captured.
During the second act, when you first enter your Hightown mansion, Aveline will ask you to deal with a problem she has with the Templar Emmeric. During the conversation you will be able to question her about Emmeric's investigation. When you select the question that asks her why she would not investigate it with the guard, she talks about the Gascard de Puis house raid, then finishes it by saying "Why can't he just build a boat like other old men." This is a reference to the television show NCIS and the main character Leeroy Jethro Gibbs, an old federal agent who builds boats in his basement.
Note: This is considered an in-game exploit and may be fixed as future patches are released. It is possible to activate certain abilities that are not designed to be active with others. For example, the abilities Control and Might for the warrior character are not meant to be able to be activated at the same time. To get around this, activate one ability. Then, before it's done casting, activate the other ability. The game will glitch and wind up allowing both abilities to activate. This works for all sustainable abilities that are not meant to be activated simultaneously, giving you an advantage in combat.

Access to the Black Emporium is required for this, as well as enough gold to afford the Maker's Sigh potion that resets all Ability Points/Attributes. Hawke's unique preset skills mean that when you use a Maker's Sigh potion and save, the preset skills will be always be filled. Perform the following steps to easily gain ability points:
1. Use a Maker's Sigh. 2. Save your game and reload the file. 3. Examine your Ability Points; you should see the amount removes plus Hawke's preset abilities. For a Rogue this will be 4-5 points in the fual-wield tree. 4. Use another Maker's Sigh to add those Abilities to the Ability Points. Repeat this as many times as desired as long as you have the potions, but make sure to save and reload the game each time.
If you already have 15 health potions or 10 other potions in your inventory, the game is less likely to give you more potions as random loot drops. You can fool the game into thinking you have less potions by going home and dropping some potions into storage. After that, loot a dungeon and the game will give you more potions in loot until you reach the "cap." Repeat until you have the desired number of potions. Eventually you'll be rolling in health, lyrium, and stamina potions. If you don't need them, sell them for coin.

During one of the dialogues between Anders and Isabella, Isabella mentions that abominations are easy to escape because they make loud noises like "Grr Argh". Anders refutes, saying "Abominations to not go Grr Argh". During the ending credits of the Buffy The Vampire Slayer television series, Joss Whedon's "Mutant Enemy Productions" credit screen shows a little monster which says "Grr Argh?"
Take Isabella to the desire section inside the fade. A demon will seduce her with the prospect of a boat in the harbor. When Isabella turns on you, she will say "I like big boats and I cannot lie", referencing Sir Mixalot's "I Like Big Butts" song.
After completing the Sebastian's "Repentance" companion quest, return to the chantry. This part is very important: Do not talk to Sebastian, only talk to the Grand Cleric. When you start the dialog conversation with the Grand Cleric, repeatedly select the "You're useless" dialog option to get the +5 rivalry for Sebastian each time. You can repeat this cheat as many times as you'd like.
