Cheat Codes: Enter the options menu, select "Controls", then "Advanced". Turn on the option for the console. Then press ~ during game play to display the console window. Type sv_cheats 1 to enable cheat mode. Then, enter one of the following codes at the console window to activate the corresponding cheat function. ApertureScience.com login: The graffiti in the game are clues for the ApertureScience.com web site. Go to the site and enter LOGIN as a command. Enter CJOHNSON as a username and TIER3 as a password. After logging in, type HELP for a list of commands.
In addition to logging in as "CJOHNSON" (Chell), you can login as anyone desired by typing a username longer than two characters and using PORTAL as a password.

Type DIR then type APPLY to take an application for entry into the "Enrichment Center".
Chamber 18: At the end of the advanced map for Chamber 18, you will have the same raised platforms as you did in the normal one except now after you leave the lower one, it falls into the toxic water. This forces you to be more precise with your portal jumps. However, you can get past this easily. Do the platform jumping as usual, but if you miss just land on the platform you came out of. You should be able to fire an opposite color portal at the wall where you entered this area, allowing you to go back to the start. All the platforms rise again and the portal is still where you left it. You can now fall into the pit again and be able to portal jump to the next ledge. This take longer but does not require precise timing.
Objects through particle field: The primary objective is to create two portals, one on either side of the field. First, enable the "Portal anywhere" code. Then, shoot one portal on the ground where the particle field is in the middle of the portal. To do this, aim your portal gun as close to the bottom of the field as you can that will still create a portal. Shoot another portal on the ground so that when you look through that portal, the line of the particle field cuts across the portal. Try and enter through the portal on the elevator side without touching the field. Once this is achieved, you may now shoot the color portal below the particle field anywhere you can in the elevator room. You will now have two portals on either side of the field. However, do not touch the field or both portals will be erased. Simply go through the portal and you may bring objects (for example, the companion cube) through to the next level. Note: Be careful where you shoot the portal in the elevator room; if you go through it you may fall through the map.
Overheating Xbox 360: Play the level where you face off with the laser guided robots. Once you get past the first few robots, you must start dropping the boxes on the robots heads so that they fall over. In the little place that you find the first two boxes, crouch and walk behind where the boxes were. You will find a little room with odd music playing and graffiti on the walls that says things such as "The cake is a liar". There also seems to be an Xbox 360 with a pot inside of it. The Xbox 360 is overheating and boiling the water.
Box head pictures: On the level where you get the companion cube after you run past the energy balls and are in the room with the three elevators, there are two doors leading to a catcher, and a platform that is pushed out of the wall. Walk up to the platform that is pushed out. Crouch behind it and walk through the opening. On the left hand side are a group of pictures of people with boxes for heads and hearts around them.
Talking toilet: In the holding cell you start at, walk up to the toilet and press [Use]. After a flushing sound the toilet will say "Thank you for your obeisance".
Companion radio: Start the game and wait for the voice to stop talking. Before you go through the first portal, take the radio on your table. Carry it with you until you get to the first elevator. Carry it through the particle field and it should get destroyed. Play until chamber four as usual. In chamber four, a radio should be dropped down through the tube with the box. It will end up lying in the pit. Leave it in that chamber, and do not destroy it. Play through chamber five for a strange surprise. Activate the two buttons and the door should open as normal. The radio will be sitting in the center of the floor in the next chamber.
Fun with turrets: You can pick them up, toss them around, make them fall indefinitely through two portals, drop a cube on them, etc. Also try the following. Use the incandescent particle field in front of the exit. The computer voice said before that all objects other than yourself and the portal gun will be destroyed. Pick up a turret and toss it into the energy field. The turret will say "ayayayay" as if being electrocuted and disintegrate.
Still Alive song: Listen to the radio in the room you start out in. If the music sounds familiar, it is because the song is an up-tempo version of the "Still Alive".
Portal "mirror": You will need the fully upgraded Portal Gun for this trick. Enable the sv_portal_placement_never_fail 1 and sv_portal_placement_never_bump 1 codes. Place a portal on a flat surface and the second one on top of the first one. The second will cover the first and you will be looking at yourself as if in a mirror. Using cheats and unlocking achievements: There are achievements that you can get for completing certain tasks, however if the sv_cheats code is enabled the achievements are disabled. There is a way around this. There are a few command strings that can be bind to keys which allow you to enable or disable God mode when desired, get all equipment such as weapons, plus the better portal gun. To do this, use the bind <key> "sv_cheats 1; wait; god; wait; wait; wait; sv_cheats 0" console command. For God mode use the bind' <key> '"sv_cheats 1; wait; Impulse 101; wait; wait; wait; sv_cheats 0" console command. Achievements: Unlock the following Achievements by performing the corresponding tasks:
