Use the following steps to resurrect your hero in v1.0 of the game. Create a backup of the saved game folder while your hero is alive. This data becomes invalid when your hero dies. When this happens, exit the game and restore your backed up saved game data. Note: This procedure requires editing a registry value; avoid attempting this if you are not familiar with working with your system registry, as a mistake can cause serious problems with Windows. Start Regedit and use the "Registry/Export Registry File" menu option to create a backup copy of your original registry. Make the following changes to your registry.
Use the map editor to create a medium map that is large enough to put the mines building and shops, yet still have a decent area for the enemy player. Place some mines for the resources (minimum one for each type) and a number of shops, then place some buildings of the race you want to use. Isolate a section of the map, for example, a corner using water or another obstruction. Set the other player's starting position there. Yours will be located near the mines and shops. Save the map, then go to Skirmish mode and choose the map you just created. You can use your hero to convert the mines and buildings. Gather resources and go to each shop. Choose to purchase the most expensive item. The more expensive the item, the more crowns you receive by selling it at the campaign outfitter. If you also want experience points, make sure your enemies are in a same team, then build up a flyer or siege engine to destroy them when you are ready. To max out the crown, leave the item you want to use in your stash in the campaign.
-Make a large map and place mines, shops (to increase the chance of getting good items, and thus sold for a lot of crowns in the campaign), and buildings of the race you would like to use. Select a secluded corner and isolate it from the rest of the map using debris or water. Set your starting location near the buildings and mines so you can convert them as soon as the game starts. Place the enemies starting location in the secluded corner. Save the map and start a Skirmish mode game. For easier game play and maximum rewards, set the army point to 50 and your enemies on the same team. Use your army points to purchase some ranged troops because your enemies can send out flying units. The rest will be used to buy peasants to work in the mines. Once the game starts, convert the buildings and mines to earn resources. Go to the shops and purchase the most expensive items. The more expensive the tiems, the more crowns you can get. After filling up all available slots, build flying units to destroy your enemies at your leisure. You should get decent experience points after the game ends. If you want to earn crown, sell the items at the campaign outfitter. To earn as much as possible, leave the item you want to keep in your stash before farming again.
This trick allows your hero to equip any item in any available item slot in his inventory. For instance, this allows you to equip helms in the boot slot or an accessory in the helm slot. You can also equip multiple identical items. Open the Campaign for the hero and open his "Item Stash" to access his inventory. Click the item you want to replace or replace an item with. Press ESC to close the "Item Stash" window, then open the "Item Stash" window again. Notice that the item you clicked is still selected. You can now move that item around to any of the hero's equipment slots. Click the item you want the item you chose to replace with. Note: The item slot you want to replace an item with should have an item equipped beforehand. Foinstance, if you want to put a helm in the boot slot, you need to have a pair of boots in the boot slot to be replaced with the helm. You cannot put items into slots which do not have anything equipped. Note: Bonuses such as "+ Damage" and "+ Armor" do not take effect if the item is not in its proper slot, but others such as "% chance to cast" or "+ to command radius" will still take effect.
