Easy gear hint

During "Return to the Hall of Heroes", use the doors behind you to enter The Hall of Heroes. Once inside, exit to the Plaza to cause items in the Soldier's Field area to respawn. You can use this to your advantage to farm gear. Go to the Plaza and defeat the Vox and Founders. You should also use the sky-lines to travel to the lower Gondola Station and defeat the Founders and Fireman. There is also a Motorized Patriot in its entrance hall. Just stun it, go to the elevator, and use it to return to the Soldier's Field boardwalk. Find the toy store next to the carousel and lift its shutter to enter, then use Shock Jockey on the generator near the locked door to open it. This allows you to collect a piece of random gear. Return to the Hall of Heroes by using the elevator and the sky-lines. Enter the doors to the museum. Once inside collect the Salts and repeat the process.

E3 Elizabeth easter egg

Spoiler alert! At the end of the game when you see multiple Elizabeths, one of them is actually the model that we saw in the first trailers for the game.

Rating 2

Secret cover songs

While playing the game you will come across several anachronistic song covers such as "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys, "Fortunate Son" by Creedence Clearwater Revival, and "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper. Eventually you'll discover via voxophones that Fink was able to make his composer brother famous by observing these successful songs via tears.

Easy lockpicks hint

On your way out of Hall of Heroes after facing Slate, ride two sky-lines to find a fight that includes a firefighter that always has a lockpick. Defeat him, collect the lockpick, and return to the Hall of Heroes. After you enter the building again, exit and ride the sky-lines to find the same firefighter. Repeat the process as many times as desired.

Star Wars easter egg

When watching Elizabeth create a tear inside the monument, the words Revenge of the Jedi are seen on the theater. This was the title of the very first Star Wars Episode VI poster before it was decided that the word revenge was not appropriate. Also, listen for a peculiar song just before hand in the room with the giant speakers. After the scene with Elizabeth, Booker mutters the line, "This job is getting worse all the time", a reference to Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back when Lando says "Lando: This deal is getting worse all the time!"

Bioshock easter eggs

  • During the scene when Daisy Fitzroy is holding the young boy hostage, Booker helps Elizabeth into a vent similar to how Big Daddies help Little Sisters into the vents in the original Bioshock.

  • There are at least two voxophones that reference Rapture and the original Bioshock: "A Child Needs a Protector" and "Out of Thin Air". In them, Fink mentions seeing a Big Daddy and Little Sister as well as a "genius biologist", which is likely Tennenbaum.

  • After baptizing Booker at the start of the game, Preacher Whitting says the phrase "Is it someone new?", the same phrase mentioned by a Splicer at the start of the original Bioshock.

  • After waking up in Battleship Bay, walk through the first hallway to find pistol ammo in a baby carriage. This is a reference to the original BioShock when you find the pistol in a baby carriage. There is also a Hand Cannon in a baby carriage near a dead woman in Emporia, a reference to the revolver in the original. This can be found by a locked shop in a fire, between Memorial Garden and Market District, near where the secret song on this level is.

  • The Wrench from the original BioShock can be seen just after acquiring the Murder of Crows Vigor, sitting next to a piece of Gear. The Wrench can also be seen on the First Lady Airship in which Elizabeth uses to attack Booker.

Disneyland easter egg

The map just outside the "Hall of Heroes" it obviously based after Disney Land.

Rating 1

Lutece Twins appearances

  • After the scene where Booker first sees Monument Island statue and receives the telegram from Lutece, look through the nearby telescope. Toward the bottom left you will see the twins, Robert juggling and Rosalind watching. Exit the telescope and they will disappear.

  • When you first look up at the Rosalind statue towards the start of the game, it appears to look like a tear that Elizabeth can bring forth. Instead, it changes on its own and becomes Robert.

Development easter egg

When Elizabeth enters the Duke and Dimwit game room in Battleship Bay, she mentions that the latest version of the game was "delayed three times". This is a self-reference to Bioshock Infinite itself, which was delayed three times.

Developer easter egg

In the cemetery where Lady Comstock's mausoleum is located, search the gravestones to the left of the entrance to her grave. One of the graves features the handwritten word "SNIGHT", which is a reference to Mike Snight, a member of the development team.
