General tips

Repairing your Squad
During game play, don’t forget that you can repair damaged squads by returning to the factory. The Squad will be instantly repaired once they enter the Factory.

Use Terrain to Your Advantage

Remember that varying terrains offers different stat boosts. Air Units are not affected by terrain.

One Controller... no problem
Even with only one controller, you can still play with up to 4 players offline. In the multiplayer settings enable Controller Share.

Tick Tock, Tick Tock
In Multiplayer Mode, each player has a time limit to complete their turn. Be wary of how much time has elapsed or you'll run out of time!

Zone of Control

Strategically using your Squad’s zone of control lets you block your opponent’s moves. This often can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

Surround and Support
Before engaging with an enemy, make sure you consider the placement of other squads. Surrounding Squads can weaken the defense of an opposing player. On the other hand, adjacent Squads can also support your units in damage for either the Attacking or Defending Forces.

Know Your Units

It is vital that you know the stats of each Unit and their limitations. As an example, the Hawkeye cannot both move and attach or the Falcon cannot attack ground squads.

Pick Your Battles

Don’t get in fights you can’t win. Attacking superior units without support or terrain bonuses will only expose yourself for a damaging if not fatal counter attack and will, at the very least, raise your enemy’s experience level.

Grunts Win Battles, Veterans Win Wars
Once you have established a couple units as veterans, make sure you keep them alive or at least not throw them into a battle unnecessarily. Place wounded veterans inside of factories to recover and bring them out stronger than ever.

The Little Guy Is Someone To Be Feared

Don’t forget about your infantry as they are your only way to take over factories or, in an end-around situation, your opponent’s base.

All Is Not Lost

Running low on units? No problem. Exploit an opponent’s weakness if he is heavy in air units or land units. If you have enough of one type of unit and your opponent has no or little defense for it, you can win even against crazy odds.
